Job Description: 

Background

We are a three star, 162 Bedroom Hotel based within 10 minutes walk of Waterloo Train Station.  Recently renamed and with new owners we will be refurbishing our entire room stock and have ambitious plans to extend the hotel over the next 2 to 4 years. Since May 2020 and up until 31st March 2021 the hotel has been housing the homeless and will be open once again to the public from mid April 2021.

We are looking for an individual who will grow with us and  take pride in managing the building as their own. The candidate must be organised, have a “can do” attitude and be hands on within a small “family” team environment.    

 

Role (Not exhaustive)

  • Hands on approach to day to day maintenance including 24/7 call out in emergencies
  • Maintaining safe environments via “Saeker” our Health & Safety System ensuring all tasks and actions are carried out and any remedial action recorded and remedied
  • Managing day to day customer feedback comments, ensuring all rooms are in use at all times
  • Providing O&M Manuals relating to all mechanical machinery
  • Scheduling regular building and bedroom maintenance
  • Contracting external contractors for repairs as needed
  • Monitoring and developing hotel maintenance budget
  • Overseeing all building / bedroom improvements
  • Overseeing contractors and developing relationships with nominated suppliers
  • Supervising all internal and external development projects
  • Management and co-ordination of maintenance team
  • Hiring employees or contractors as needed to maintain, repair, or improve the property
  • Evaluating employee performance and providing direction, correction, or additional training to ensure proper maintenance of the building

Skills Required

  • A relevant trade qualification & experience in one of the following - Plumbing  / Electrical / Carpentry / Decoration / Building
