Job Description: 

We are a rapidly expanding global business where our people are at the heart of our success and future developments. As a result, we now have a fantastic and unique opportunity for you to join our dynamic and passionate HR Team in the role of the HR Assistant.

Our department is fast paced, and this newly created role will offer you the scope to grow. We have three UK sites within local proximity, and the postholder will be positioned within our HR Department. The scope of this role is to provide efficient and effective administrative support to the HR team and ensure a considered and accurate ‘right first time’ delivery.

You will be involved in taking care of the end to end employee lifecycle activities, as well as the opportunity to be part of the other HR projects as and when needed. We are looking for an individual who has a keen interest and enthusiasm for HR as a business function and desires to become a subject matter expert. You will have excellent administrative skills and possess meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. You will be able to deliver HR services in a discreet, tactful and sensitive manner. No task will be too big or too small for you.

The ideal candidate will have authority to maintain confidentiality and will always be honest and reliable. 

Person specification and Experience required: 

Person Specification Core Competencies

Essential: 

- Excellent administrative skills

- Resilient, with the willingness to work flexibly both on one’s own initiative and as a team member

- Proven aptitude of MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook with experience of producing letters, document or presentations from a brief

- Strong and accurate data skills including numerate calculation

- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with the confidence to deal with all levels of employees, building effective professional relationships across all departments and with external bodies

- Proven ability to meet KPIs

- Strong organisation skills; can prioritise a varied and busy workload effectively, working accurately, at speed and displaying exemplary attention to detail

 

Desirable:

- CIPD level 3 qualified/undertaking the study

- Experience of electronic HR platforms and databases

- Experience in a highly matrixed environment and/or experience working in a complex global organisation with multiple business entities

- Track record of exceeding expectations

- Interest in Employment Law Personal Attributes Essential

- Discretion, tack, sensitivity, integrity and recognising the need for confidentiality

- Proactive problem solver, resourceful, demonstrates initiative and has a ‘can-do’ attitude

- Able to work in a fluid, fast-paced and changing environment

- Keen interest in and enthusiasm for HR as a business function and desire to become a subject matter expert

- Honest with the ability to declare identified errors and correct them
