This is an 18-24 month Apprenticeship scheme at Level 3 HR Support standard.  The annual salary for this role is £20,000.

Start Date: June/July

Hours: 37.5 hour week, Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5.30 pm with a 1-hour break at lunch.

Job Description: 

About the Role

We have a clear people strategy and are looking for an enthusiastic HR Apprentice to join our key HR team in London.  The role will support all aspects of HR and provide a great basis from which to start your career in this field.  You will assist the HR Business Partner (HRBP) and HR Director (HRD) to deliver first class, fit for business HR to our ambitious, high performing team of just over 100 people.

Your role will initially focus on

  • Preparing letters, contracts and other paperwork.
  • Being an initial point of contact for HR with colleagues at all level – signposting them to the information they are looking for or passing onto the HRBP and HRD
  • Helping to organize HR events – for example, quarterly induction days, Assessment centers, peer listening sessions, training sessions, ad hoc meetings
  • Setting up interviews for our open vacancies

As you learn more, there will be opportunity to take on more responsibility including:   

  • Helping to onboard new joiners to the business. Setting up IT, their desk, security pass etc
  • Supporting on key HR Projects – for example, reporting, new HR initiatives, training courses.
  • Help develop our Employer Brand – working with our Marketing team and on our social media.

You will work closely with people at all levels of our organization, in London, and also, in time, interacting with our global offices and network.

Skills required / What we’re looking for:

  • A natural knack for social media and the online world
  • You are curious,  want to learn and have plenty of energy and enthusiasm
  • A passion for, and interest in, brands
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills
  • You are a real doer and a proper team player
  • Fantastic organisational skills: ability to multi-task
  • Minimum A-C grades at GCSE (or equivalent) in both English & Maths.

You’ll need to have superb attention to detail, excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interest in developing a career in HR.  This role will provide the opportunity to work with a range of people and their different needs.  We aren’t a company where HR sits in the corner and this role offers a stepping-stone to develop HR skills with progression for the successful candidate.
