Job Description: 

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to play a central role in delivering this new initiative's corporate and investor engagement work. Working with the Company and Investor Engagement Managers, the successful candidate will help to inspire institutional investors to do more to promote decent work and reporting transparency, motivate multinational companies to improve their workforce policies and practice, provide research to identify targets and make the case for workforce disclosure, and help to identify and promote good practice. They will work as part of a core team of eight based in London and in coordination with international allies. All team members are expected to contribute to effective delivery of the project through efficient admin and data management, as well as assisting with analysis and evaluation.


Company engagement:

Work with the Company Engagement Manager to support companies through the initiative's reporting cycle to encourage their participation.

Investor engagement:

Work with the Investor Engagement Manager to help maintain and deepen relationships with investors based locally and overseas.

Research and communications:

Provide research support to identify targets and develop the case for large publicly listed companies and institutional investors to advance workforce management policies and practices;

Play a role in delivering webinars, roundtables, and workshops to engage the initiative's core audience of companies and investors;

Contribute to the initiative 's social media and website content.

Stakeholder engagement:

Ensure that partners to the project and key internal stakeholders are kept informed and consulted on the initiative's planning, progress and development related to company and investor engagement.

Team working:

Ensure that data and feedback is recorded efficiently and learning shared across the team and organisation;

Work with colleagues on the initiative and others across the organisation to build on our approach to effective company and investor engagement and impact, including contributing to communications outputs and feeding into the initiative's future strategy.

Person specification

We are looking for a passionate, determined individual, with the following experience and skills:


  • Relevant experience in a related role, e.g. client relationship management, investment or investor relations, or corporate responsibility;
  • Keen interest in corporate sustainability themes and related internal company challenges, ideally with an emphasis on decent work;
  • Excellent negotiation skills with ability to work constructively with people at different levels of seniority and diverse backgrounds;
  • Persuasive communication skills (verbal and written) and confidence in interacting with stakeholders, including when cold calling;
  • Organised, with strong attention to detail;
  • Flexibility and creative problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work independently but exercise judgment to seek advice when appropriate;
  • Confidence in using IT to manage data and communications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Salesforce, SharePoint, Skype);
  • Strong commitment to collaborative working and our values of accountability and transparency.


  • Experience of working within or delivering services to a listed company or the financial sector;
  • Understanding of labour standards;
  • Additional language skills, other than fluency in English;
  • Knowledge and experience of using Salesforce as a CRM;
  • Experience of public speaking or a desire to develop this;
  • Understanding of GDPR and how it relates to the workplace
