Job Description: 

We are inviting candidates to attend an assessment session from 10.00am to 1.00pm on the 4th August, 2017 for various roles for the opening of Better Bankside's newest Apartment complex.

Candidates will meet the Managers of the new suite of apartments and take part in the group assessment process and then one to one interviews.

 

The Vacancies are:  Front of House Hosts, Property Maintenance, Cleaning/Housekeeping, and Night Managers

Vacancy Type:         Permanent, Contract, Full Time, and Part Time

Start Date:                August 2017

Property Maintenance Specialists (x1) to £24,000:

About The Role

Your role as Property Maintenance Specialist is essential to our continued growth. Success in this role means fixing up our apartments quickly to make sure our apartment buildings run smoothly and look perfect at all times. You’ll be a friendly face around our new flagship property for our guests and take pride in a job well done.

Fixing up our apartments:

  • Working with colleagues and the General Manager to spot any issues that need resolving – from paint jobs through to boiler maintenance and rewiring
  • Completing jobs listed on the daily task schedule issued by the General Manager – fixing what can be fixed on the day and identifying solutions for more complex job.
  • Communicating any delays or major issues identified on the daily task schedule
  • Making sure essential testing and reporting is carried out for the building

Making sure apartments are safe for our guests:

  • Working proactively with the teams (Operations, Front of House) to report and resolve concerns around the appearance and safe running of our apartments (e.g. water, electric, gas, heating)
  • Making sure Health & Safety hazards are dealt with immediately

Supporting the wider team to achieve success

  • Being proactive in reporting complaints to relevant teams
  • Ensuring personal compliance with the company's policies 

 

Front of House Reception Hosts (x3) to £21,000:

About The Role

Your role as Front of House Host is essential to helping us thrive. Success in this role means being the face of the company and making sure our guests in our brand new flagship property feel they’ve picked the right place to stay. Delivering great guest experience means resolving guest queries, knowing everything there is to know about the Bankside neighbourhood and using our home-grown IT software (iGNite) to manage everything from guest check-ins to maintenance requests.

 Being the face of the company for our guests:

  • Giving our guests service with genuine company spirit – face to face, by telephone and by email
  • Taking pride in resolving guest queries with empathy and a genuine desire to make our guests feel ‘at home’
  • Taking enquiries from potential residents and helping the Lettings team convert enquires into sales
  • Presenting our apartments with pride and passion at all times

 Making sure apartment suites are presented perfectly for our guests :

  • Knowing and following all security, safety and emergency protocols
  • Working proactively with the teams (Operations, Maintenance) to report and resolve concerns around the appearance and safe running of our apartments (e.g. water, electric, gas, heating)
  • Working with our on-site Cleaning team to maintain excellent standards
  • Making effective use of the iGNite database

Delivering a smooth customer experience

  • Making full use of the iGNite database to manage guest stays effectively
  • Working with the teams (Sales, Revenue, Operations) to deliver the perfect stay for our guests – including special requests and changes
  • Keeping excellent communication flow between the teams around issues, complaints and concerns
  • Encouraging guests to review and recommend the company online

 Supporting the wider team to achieve success

  • Delivering accurate iGNite reports to teams and building owners (e.g. occupancy, building performance)
  • Being proactive in reporting complaints to relevant teams
  • Ensuring personal compliance with company policies 

 

Night Managers (x2) to £21,000:

About The Role

Your role as Night Manager is essential to helping the company thrive

Success in this role will mean running the safe operation of the premises overnight to help us deliver great guest service and keep everything running smoothly ready for the day shift.  

Managing all aspects of the night operations by:

  • Making sure all guests are made to feel at home – being the face of the company
  • Listening to guest queries – resolving issues where possible and ensuring that concerns are passed to relevant team members
  • Carrying out Night Audit duties and keeping our home-grown iGNite database up to date

Ensuring the safety and security of our apartment building:

  • Knowing and following all security, safety and emergency protocols
  • Ensuring guest security, safety and privacy is maintained at all times
  • Dealing promptly with security concerns in a safe and professional manner
  • Ensuring all incidents, near misses and accidents are recorded

Delivering great guest service

  • Understanding and anticipating guest needs
  • Taking appropriate actions to meet guest needs
  • Making guests feel at home at all times

Supporting the wider team to achieve success

  • Working in collaboration with internal and external teams to put guests first
  • Being proactive in reporting complaints to relevant teams
  • Ensuring personal compliance with company policies 

 

Cleaning / Housekeeping (x7) £9.75 ph

About The Role

Your role as In House Cleaner is essential to our continued growth. Success in this role means making sure our guests feel they’ve picked the right place to stay in a clean and well-presented apartments. You will be part of the family – being a cheerful and friendly face around the property for our guests and being proud to make our building look its best at all times.

Being part of the team:

  • Working with great colleagues to make our guests feel ‘at home’
  • Being proud to present our apartment building to the highest standards
  • Keeping the General Manager informed of any issues in the building

Making sure apartments are safe and clean for our guests:

  • Making premises look brilliant for guests and visitors
  • Keeping communal areas and the Front of House reception clean at all times
  • Working proactively with the teams (Operations, Maintenance) to report and resolve concerns around the appearance and safe running of our apartments (e.g. water, electric, gas, heating)

Supporting the wider team to achieve success

  • Being proactive in reporting complaints to relevant teams
  • Ensuring personal compliance with company policies
