Job Description: 


The key activities outlined below represent an overview of the position of Payroll Administrator and should not be seen as a prescriptive list of activities.  A flexible responsive approach is vital, together with initiative in identifying and focusing on what needs to be done to contribute to the achievement of business objectives. 


To proactively support the Finance Team within the administrative elements of the department. Company policies and procedures must be adhered to in all activities. 


• Calculate and prepare monthly payroll including all deductions, adjustments, leavers and new joiners  

• Update employee payroll record with HMRC New tax codes, SL1 & SL2

• Ensure monthly payroll is input accurately and efficiently on Sage 50 Payroll  

• Calculate final pay for leavers and issue P45’s

• Calculation and input of all voluntary deductions

• Prepare Pension information including new joiners, leavers and monthly submission to AVIVA pension portal

• Set up and Submit Payroll P.A.Y.E to HMRC

• Ensure all internal and external deadline are strictly adhered to

• Prepare month-end payroll journals.

• Prepare year-end P60 from Saga 50 Payroll  

• Prepare year-end employee benefits report for P11D Sage Software to be submitted to HRMC.

• Ensure payroll delivered on time to agreed deadlines and to necessary standards

• Prepare required information for Sage 50 payroll automation

• Be the point of contact for all queries in relation to all aspects of payroll
