Job Description: 

There is an opportunity to join the leading owner-operator of serviced apartments in London.

With over 660 apartments in our portfolio situated in six key locations around the city, we are undeniably the experts in our industry and consistently offer value to our clients. Our apartments are available for stays from just 1 night, to stays of 1 year and longer.

2017 is a very exciting year for us as we recruit, train and develop our Team for launch of our new Hotel in Westminster which was opened on the 1st of June. We pride ourselves on being leaders in our industry and we are currently seeking a Corporate Representative to join our energetic and vibrant Reservations team.

Your primary responsibility will be to maximize occupancy and rates on our portfolio. You will be required to assist the Senior Account Manager in converting new business & managing a selection of corporate accounts. You will also be responsible for regular guests and converting new business. You will deal with & process all queries, reservations and issues arising from those accounts, as well as working with the other Corporate Representatives to ensure all Corporate enquiries & bookings are completed.

Alongside this you will carry out all Reservation duties required, and ensure that all calls, emails and bookings are dealt with. Ideally, you will have Reservations experience, as well as some sales experience, or seeking progression within Sales.

We are looking for someone with an excellent track record of over achievement, who can provide key examples of past success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answering queries, converting and processing bookings from assigned and new clients.
  • Follow up on all sales leads and will be responsible for revenue generation and customer service to your assigned accounts.
  • You must be a forward planner, capable of working on your own initiative and as part of a team to ensure that targets are being achieved and the desired occupancy level is being met on a monthly basis.
  • Candidates will ideally have experience in a challenging sales environment with a focus on business development and a proven track record in converting new business.
  • You will be expected to quickly gain full knowledge of all rates, (standard, negotiated and promotional etc.), room types, overall company product and our primary competition.
  • Controlling & updating the booking system
  • Demonstrating the highest levels of customer service
  • You will need to have a basic understanding of Revenue, to be able to assess of company performance and your own performance; and be able to report back on your account’s production levels
  • You may be required to attending networking events (both in house and external)
  • At times you may have to assist with apartment viewings and be able to do so confidentially
  • Be capable of building strong relationships with both your colleagues and our clients.
  • You will be given targets to achieve and a bonus structure will be set against achievement of these target.

Hours of work:

Shifts between 8.30am to 7.30pm, including at least one Saturday or Sunday per month, for which overtime will be paid.

Bank Holidays are rota’d amongst the team. Please note that the role may be based initially in London Bridge and then moved to Waterloo.

Person specification and Experience required: 
  • Be tenacious, persuasive and ambitious
  • Be self-motivated, maintaining high level of focus and enthusiasm
  • Confident in assessing the potential of new leads
  • Be able to find & capture new business, and develop it to a high producing account
  • Create interest in the product by focusing on value

Diary management:

Organising meetings & viewings, and excellent time keeping

Overcome obvious and hidden hurdles in decision making

Work independently in a fast paced sales/reservations team environment

Knowledge of computer applications is essential, including Microsoft Office & Excel.

Experience of a Reservations booking system is also preferable.

Close attention to detail with a structured approach to a task.

An ability to work under pressure and take risks

Passion for Sales & customer service, with an ability to listen, learn & progress

Extremely punctual & organized

Excellent English, both written & spoken, in order to communicate well via email & phone.
