Job Description: 

THIS IS A PAID WORK EXPERIENCE VACANCY FOR A SOUTHWARK OR LAMBETH CANDIDATE AGED 16-18 YEARS

Salary London Living Wage £10.20 per hour

Holidays: 25 days plus 8 Statutory holidays calculated pro rata

Hours: 9 - 5pm

Comprehensive Health and Wellbeing package

6 days vocational training or volunteering in a community business

£1,000 for individual training needs calculated pro rata

Role Purpose:

Reporting to the Office Manager, you will work in an administration support role for the London office.

You will be responsible for ad hoc general office duties.

This six month fixed term contract will give an excellent opportunity to gain experience of working in an office and all that entails.

Responsibilities:

Help screen incoming calls

Manage the post and emails

Greet visitors

Book cabs and couriers

Look after the filing

Photocopying as required

Updating of contact lists

Scheduling meeting rooms and booking refreshments and lunches

Providing ad hoc support for other team members as required

Person specification and Experience required:

Skills and Experience:

Be organised

Flexible and able to prioritise a changing ‘to do’ list

Have an eye for detail and be accurate

Trustworthy and reliable

Self-motivated and use initiative to see what needs doing rather than waiting to be asked

Well-spoken so you can be easily understood

Smart and well-presented (so as to give good first impression to visitors)

Clear use of written English with accurate spelling and grammar

Able to work in a team (i.e. readily offer assistance to others)

Good Microsoft Office skills
